Crafty Birds provides sewing lessons in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. All of our sewing lessons are held in the well equipped, modern, and comfortable sewing studio at Redborne Upper School. We have a full range of machines and tools for everyone to have their own individual one to use, or you are welcome to bring your own machine and tools if you wish. We run sewing courses for both adults and children in the evenings and at weekends.

Crafty Birds was set up by Anneka, a fully qualified fashion and textiles teacher. We have five our tutors here at Crafty Birds; Anneka, Katie, Denyse, Jessica, and Jane. Crafty Birds proudly only hires tutors with both a teaching qualification and university degree within Fashion, Textiles, Dressmaking, and Tailoring.
We all work as Fashion and Textiles teachers at Redborne Upper School during the day, happily opening the doors of our classrooms to others who want to learn to sew.
As practising teachers we are knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced in teaching children, teenagers, and young adults, capable of applying differentiated teaching techniques to ensure everyone learns and makes progress at a Crafty Birds sewing course.
